July 25th, 2009 Posted in Diseases, Healthy Tips

Are you aware of your feet or not? Well, when it comes to working, going to school or hanging out with friends, feet are the ones mostly disregarded by people. Why? because we are much aware on our looks that can easily seen physically such as faces, hair, hands and body. As we can usually see, women are the most aware to care their feet than men.

Why did i get into this topic? I’m just a little bit observant to all people that surrounds me most especially to all of my friends. Foot problem like smelly feet and foot fungi are just inevitable to notice, even myself got this kind of problem in my childhood days.

I’m giving away some tips to prevent and cure this kind of problem that even causes fungi in a quick easy way. I figured out this by myself so I think somehow it might be a use of help just in case. To tell you this its very effective for me but it also depends to ones skin feet condition.

Here’s my tips and prevention:

  • Check your feet if you’re having a kind of sweaty all the time even without your shoes on. If this is natural for you then your the one that must be preventive about foot problems.
  • Don’t walk bare footed on streets especially on dirty places, make sure you wash it cleanly when you done walking without any slippers or shoes on.
  • Washing your feet is not enough, you have to dry them well using your own towel gently or use a hair dryer for quick drying. Don’t leave your feet wet for it may cause the bacteria to stay and stick on your wet feet.
  • Using slippers indoors is a way better than using shoes (if someone used to) to prevent more of foot sweat.
  • Don’t put your shoes early on with a wet feet coz’ it will have a bad odor afterwards.
  • Wash your shoes weekly if you are fungi infected, anti-bacterial socks must be used.
  • Sweaty, fungi infected feet must applied anti-fungal powder before it become worse. (Baby powder works for me coz it somehow dried the fungi.)
  • Some pets such as dogs and cats in some cases like to lick your foot, prevent them not to do so to avoid bad bacteria that comes from their mouth.
  • Athletes foot is a communicable disease, prevent sharing such as towels, socks, shoes, slippers to those who aren’t infected.
  • Avoid scratching the fungi infected foot, it may cause bleeding or its fluid passes to infect more, even the used hand from scratching can directly passes through your other foot that’s not infected yet. For it may possible to contain more fungi one after another.
  • You can use baking soda, vinegar, onion/garlic extract, 70% isopropyl alcohol as an alternative treatment for athlete’s foot.
  • When your foot is totally infected and worse you can take an antibiotic drug for it.
